The Man in the Cage is an excellent, exciting, intriguing, suspenseful, page, mystery novel written by Jack Vance under the name of Ellery Queen. Although I've read all of Vance's published science fiction, I've read only 9 of his 14 mystery novels so far. Of the 9 I've read, this is my favorite/5.
